Description

Circa 1840. Single storey cottage attached to (?contemporary) square-plan pyramidal-roofed dovecot. Rubble-built with red

ashlar dressings. Slate roofs.

COTTAGE: W elevation: 3 wide bays, panelled door with

fanlight behind columned semi-circular central porch flanked

by narrow windows; single windows in outer bays with 4-pane

glazing pattern. 2 symmetrically placed stacks with cavetto

cornices; roofed with graded slates.

DOVECOT: (within courtyard, to E of cottage): partly harled;

row of flight-holes to upper level of elevations; projecting

eaves and with weathervane finial (possibly re-roofed in

second half of 19th century). Set behind ashlar-built

boundary wall.
