Description
Kirkbrae is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house located at 53 Main Street in Auchencairn. The building features painted rubble walls with squared quoins and raised flat rendered margins. It has single light sash windows with plate glass glazing, a modern glazed door, and a fanlight. The roof is covered with slate, has flat skews, and corniced wallhead stacks. At the rear, there is a single-storey gabled stone wing with a tall brick stack and a full-height projecting central bay topped with a hipped roof. To the left flank, there is a modern brick and glass extension. A drystone wall runs along the road.
