Description

47 Main Street in Auchencairn is an early 19th-century asymmetrical pair of two-storey houses constructed from roughly squared and pinned rubble. The building features square quoins, with number 45 painted on it, and has a three-bay layout with a central door and single windows fitted with plate glass sashes. Number 47 has a two-bay layout with a door positioned to the right and single light 12-pane sashes. Both houses have slate roofs, flat skews, and corniced wallhead stacks at the gables. There are modern single-storey additions at the rear.
