Description
6 South Main Street in Wigtown is an early 19th century single-storey building with a piend roof. The front is made of rubble with polished red sandstone at the angles and around the windows, while the flanks and rear are rendered brick. The building features a two-window front facing South Main Street, with single light sash and case windows that have 12-pane glazing. There is an eaves band and eaves cornice, along with an embattled parapet that has die piers at the corners. The piended roof is covered with graded slate and has a tall decorative stack with a cornice. At the rear, there is a single-storey and attic steading made of rubble.
