Description
The United Free Church in Sorbie is a plain hall church built in the later 19th century. It features a rubble construction with red sandstone ashlar used at the angles and margins. The church has lancet windows throughout, with a pointed-arch door on the east gable that is flanked by hoodmoulded lancets and topped by a cusped oculus. At the apex of the gable, there is a corbelled bellcote. The west gable has three windows, each with 10-pane glazing. The sandstone skews are flat, with scroll skewputts on the west side and skew blocks on the east. The church has slate roofs and an ashlar ridge, along with a finial on the west gable. Wrought iron railings surround the property.
