Description
The United Free Church in Rosehall, built around 1844, is a simple rectangular church constructed of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. It features a round-headed entrance located at the center of the east gable, along with two round-headed windows on the north side and four on the south side, all fitted with lattice pane glazing.
A slightly later addition is the hexagonal Ministers' porch made of harled rubble, positioned at the center of the south elevation. This porch has a hexagonal piended roof topped with a wooden finial.
At the apex of the east gable, there is a rectangular bellcote plinth, and a ball finial is located at the west apex. The church has flat skews and square skewputts, a slate roof, and a stone ridge.
In front of the church, there is a simple drystone wall, along with a pair of cast-iron gates that feature spear-head detailing and are flanked by plain monolith stone piers.
