Description
North Lodge at Rosehall is an early 19th century single-storey gate lodge made of square rubble, with harled west and south elevations. The west elevation features a central door flanked by narrow windows, and there is a lean-to extension on the south elevation. The north elevation, which faces the road, has a single window with varied glazing, and there is a single bay extension to the east that is incorporated into the adjoining wall. The lodge has a pyramidal slate roof that terminates in a central apex stack. Surrounding the lodge are high coped rubble walls that meet at the west and east, with a central entrance that has a pair of cast-iron gates (without gate piers). There is a pedestrian entrance to the left of the gates and also to the left of the lodge. Ball finials are positioned on top of the coping to the right (west).
