Description

The War Memorial on Bank Street in Alloa was designed by architect Sir Robert Lorimer and sculptor Cd'o Pilkington Jackson, completed between 1923 and 1924. It features a bronze group depicting a queen figure and soldiers cutting barbed wire, set on a simple bow-ended plinth. Behind the group is a three-plane stone screen wall, which includes a central canted recess with bronze panels.
