Description
Alloa West Church, designed by Peddie and Kinnear in 1863, features a simple rectangular plan. It has a slim Italian Gothic southwest tower and a low piend roofed southeast pavilion that flanks a two-window gable. The flanks consist of three gabled bays. In 1902, alterations by Sydney Mitchell and Wilson introduced late Scots Gothic tracery, along with blank arcaded splayed sections in the angles of the transepts and sanctuary. The top of the tower was also modified at this time, receiving a new parapet and a slated spire.
