Description
St Mungo's Parish Church, located on Bedford Place in Alloa, was designed by James Gillespie Graham and built between 1817 and 1819 in the Neo-perpendicular style. The church has a rectangular plan and features low square towers at each corner, with an advanced and gabled center on the north front. The south front showcases a 207-foot Louth-type spire supported by flying buttresses. The exterior is constructed of droved ashlar and is elaborately detailed. There have been recent single-storey additions to the east and west gables, and the interior has been completely recast.
