Kensaleyre Church, Kensaleyre, Skye

Kensaleyre Church, located in Kensaleyre on the Isle of Skye, was designed by James Gillespie Graham in 1800, with additions made in 1839 and further alterations and repairs by Alexander Ross in 1872. This T-plan church features a harled exterior with ashlar margins. The main rectangular body is oriented east to west, with a northern addition from 1839 and a projecting Minister's room and entrance at the center of the south side.

The south elevation has two long pointed windows, while the north side includes ground and gallery windows. All windows have ashlar margins, and those in the oldest part of the church feature impost blocks. The north gable has a pointed-headed doorway with a fanlight, and there is a square-headed doorway in the east gable. The church has Gothic glazing with intersecting astragals and a bellcote added in 1872 at the apex of the east gable. The roof is slate.

Inside, the church has a simple galleried interior of good quality, which includes the original pulpit and sounding board.
