Farmsteading, Skirinish House, Skye

Skirinish House is a late 18th century, two-storey building with an attic, featuring three bays and a central door. The house is constructed of white-washed rubble with large boulder footings. It has a projecting central porch with a side entrance, which is flanked by a narrow hall window. The first-floor windows are smaller than those on the ground floor, and there are three later gabled dormers with four-pane glazing. The house has end stacks and a slate roof.

At the rear, there is a later two-storey, two-bay wing built in a similar style. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century single-storey, five-bay cottage, which was formerly two dwellings, linked to the west gable of the main house by a modern extension. This cottage is also made of white-washed rubble and features end and ridge stacks, topped with a corrugated iron roof.

There is an early to mid-19th century rubble steading, which includes a two-storey central block with an off-centre depressed arched cart bay, flanked by a stable with a corn loft above. Single-storey byres are located on either side of the steading.
