Description

1815 for Robert Bald, mining engineer. North front 2-storey

3-window with Ionic column porch and tripartite at centre

1st, wing and screen wall form forecourt with good cast-iron

gates and railings, harled with margins. South front, ashlar,

3-window, ground floor channelled with arched tripartites and

centre Roman doric bowed porch, single-storey wings with

windows in arched recesses; interesting interior, circular

domed staircase with mural painting of high quality, panorama

of Edinburgh from Forth with steamboats.
