Description

The South African War Memorial, designed by William Birnie Rhind in 1906, features four larger-than-life stone figures of soldiers. Three of the figures are seated, while one stands. These figures are positioned on a wreathed stone plinth that includes a bronze plaque, located on the parapet of North Bridge in Edinburgh.
