Description

The War Memorial on High Street in Elgin was created by Percy Portsmouth in 1920. It features a bronze figure symbolizing peace and victory, standing on a tall rectangular plinth made of ashlar stone. The memorial includes steps and a dwarf wall on either side. The plinth is adorned with panels that display the names of those who fell in the First World War (1914-1918) and the Second World War (1939-1945).
