Flotilla Club, Shore Road, South Queensferry

The Flotilla Club, located on Shore Road in South Queensferry, is an early 20th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is designed in a simplified Queen Anne Style and consists of a single-storey south range, a single-storey and attic west range, and a new east range. The building is constructed of red brick, with dressings made from layers of much slimmer red brick, and features stone cills and aprons. There is a stone base course and pilaster strips.

The south range has a nine-bay front with a broken-pedimented center. The third, seventh, and end bays project with broken pediments. It includes a large arched window flanked by rectangular windows in the end bays, two windows in the central bay, and large arched windows in the third and seventh bays. The second and eighth bays feature an oculus and two windows separated by pilaster strips, while the fourth and sixth bays have two small square windows. Additionally, two arched windows break through the eaves in the east and west returns.

The west range has been much altered and features an entrance porch with a large arched opening and flanking windows. There are projecting bays on either side of the porch with an arched window, as well as a flanking arched window. New attic dormers have been added. The building has modern glazing, a grey slate roof, and a stone skew on the south range that is attached to the stack and coped with dentil detailing.

The interior was not seen in 2000.
