Description

The Provost Lamp, located at 6 Villa Road in South Queensferry, is an ornate lamp and standard that dates from the 19th century. It features a painted green and gilded finish. The lamp has a fluted shaft and a cross-bat supported by foliate brackets that rest on acanthus leaves. The glass lantern displays the Queensferry Arms painted on all four faces and is topped with a cast-iron crown that includes painted details.
