Description
The Gibson Craig Memorial Hall, located on Lanark Road West in Currie, was designed by J McIntyre Henry and built between 1900 and 1901. This Renaissance-style hall features a gable front adorned with scrolls and a Gibbsian doorpiece flanked by half Ionic pilasters. Above the entrance, there is an Ionic Venetian window with good small-paned glazing. The east side of the building has a five-window arrangement with 18-pane sash windows, while the west side includes a modern addition. The structure is constructed from snecked rubble with red sandstone dressings.
