Description
The building is a manse located on Kirkgate in Currie, originally constructed in 1799 by Charles Smith and Andrew Denholm based on sketches by Reverend Mr. Dick. It is a two-storey structure with a three-window elevation. An additional double-gabled northeast wing was added in 1838 by David Bryce, featuring a diagonal porch with a cantilevered timber gable in the re-entrant angle. There are small single-storey outshots at the gable ends. The exterior is finished with stugged coursers and has slated roofs, straight skews with ball finials, and rectangular chimney shafts. At the rear, there is a two-sided court of offices located to the south.
