Description
8-10 Regent Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay classical house that has been subdivided. The building features squared sandstone with rendered dressings, while the side elevation and rear are constructed from rubble. It has a base course, a cill course at the first floor, a dentilled cornice, and a blocking course.
The southeast, or principal elevation, has three bays grouped towards the center. There is a modern panelled door in the middle, with a plate glass rectangular fanlight and a window above it on the first floor. Each of the flanking bays has windows on both floors.
The northwest, or rear elevation, includes a brick and harled external staircase leading to a door at the first floor, along with an external closet.
The windows are 12-pane and plate glass timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate, featuring rendered gable heads and shared stacks.
The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1994. The boundary wall is rendered with a coping.
