Description
Colinton Parish Church Lodge, built by John Fraser of Colinton around 1811, is a single-storey, three-bay cottage with a piend roof, located on a sloping site at the graveyard. The structure is made of squared snecked sandstone rubble, featuring tooled dressings and quoins. The northwest side has a central timber panelled door with a small-pane fanlight, flanked by windows on both sides. There is a small window at the rear, accompanied by larger windows. The side elevations have 9-pane windows, with the northeast window set in a blocked doorway.
The cottage predominantly features 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. It has corniced wall-head stacks and squat clay cans, topped with graded grey slate.
