Description

Spylaw Street Bridge is a plain single elliptical-arched bridge, likely built in the later 18th century, spanning the Water of Leith in Edinburgh. The east parapet wall is splayed out at the ends and features pall stones at the corners, with pyramidal caps at the ends of the parapet walls. The bridge is constructed from squared sandstone random rubble, topped with flat cope stones on the parapet wall and smooth voussoirs.
