Description

Mid 19th century. Corner tenement on sloping site. 2 storeys, 4 bays, M-gable with scroll-shouldered apex stacks linked by balustraded parapet to S; 3 storeys, 3 bays to E. Squared coursed sandstone rubble with raised ashlar margins to openings.

S ELEVATION: 3 timber panelled doors with plate glass fanlights to centre flanked by windows; later alterations to 2 right-hand bays at ground (probably former shop), with later ashlar stonework. Cill band to 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: irregularly fenestrated in 4 bays at ground floor; modern door in 2nd bay from right. Regular fenestration to upper floors; wall head stack between 1st and 2nd windows from left.

Predominantly 4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; some plate glass in timber sash and case windows. Corniced stacks; decorative and plain clay cans. Ashlar coped skews. Grey slate.
