5, 7, 9 East Preston Street, Edinburgh

5, 7, 9 East Preston Street is a later 19th century, four-storey, eight-bay classical tenement in Edinburgh. The building features cream sandstone ashlar that is rusticated at the ground level of the main elevation, while the side and rear are constructed of rubble. It includes a base course, a band course, and cill courses for the first and third floor windows, topped with a cornice.

On the north (entrance) elevation, there are doorways located to the left of the centre and in the penultimate bays, featuring panelled doors and plate glass fanlights. The fenestration is regular above these doorways and in the remaining bays, predominantly consisting of plate glass sash and case windows, with some original six-pane windows. The roof is pitched and covered with grey slate, featuring a coped wallhead and ridge stacks that are rendered to the east and west, with moulded cans. The street is bordered by replacement railings.
