Description

Earlier 19th century with later alterations. 3-storey and attic 3-bay tenement. Grey/cream sandstone, polished ashlar front. Base course; rusticated ground floor; band course above ground floor; moulded cill course at 1st floor; cill band course at 2nd floor; eaves cornice and tall corniced parapet; architraved windows and at 1st floor centre window consoled and pedimented, outer windows corniced.

SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: slightly advanced centre bay crowned by large panelled tablet at parapet level. Doric columned and corniced doorpiece to right, 2-leaf panelled door flanked by shallow paired pilasters divided by anthemion carving, semi-circular plate glass fanlight; tripartite window to left (later insertion). Regular fenestration. Panelled dies flanking parapet. Canted tripartite dormer.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Slate roof with metal flashings; corniced mutual stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.
