60-64 Thistle Street, Edinburgh

60-64 Thistle Street is a late 18th century, three-storey and attic, five-bay tenement building that has undergone subsequent alterations. The exterior is constructed of coursed rubble sandstone. The central entrance features a common stair door, with three windows above it. The upper section of the building has eaves that break, complemented by a cat-slide dormer. The outer bays each have three-bay shopfronts with enlarged plate glass windows, which are now painted and include a window from the inner bay. The upper floors contain small closet windows situated between the outer bays on both levels. There are four piend-roofed dormers that are hung with slate.

At the rear of the building, there is warehousing associated with Lyon & Turnbull, which is listed separately as 54 Thistle Street.

The windows are timber sash and case with 12 panes. The building features ashlar coped skews, grey slates, and rendered stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
