149, 149A Constitution Street, Leith, Edinburgh

149 and 149A Constitution Street is an early 19th century, three-storey, three-bay tenement building located in Leith, Edinburgh. The structure features a later 19th century shopfront and is constructed of cream sandstone with droved ashlar and coursed rubble on the rear and side. It has a band base course.

On the northwest (front) elevation, there is a doorway with a replacement door and a rectangular plate glass fanlight to the outer left, with a single window flanking it and another window above. The later three-bay timber shopfront spans the centre and right bays, featuring plain moulded openings and a consoled dentilled cornice, with regular fenestration above. There are two rectangular dormers with piended roofs that have been re-glazed.

The southeast (rear) elevation was not visible in 1993. The left bay contains 12-pane timber sash and case windows, while the remaining windows are modern replacements. The building has a slate roof with a stone ridge and a rebuilt apex stack. The interior was not seen in 1992.
