Description
49 Regent Street is an early 19th century house with a later addition at the rear. It is a single-storey, three-bay classical rectangular-plan structure that now has a T-plan layout, adjoining No 51. The exterior features painted droved ashlar and a harled blank side elevation, with a base course, cornice, and blocking course.
On the west elevation facing Regent Street, there is a flush panelled door in the centre, topped by a rectangular fanlight. The doorpiece is vermiculated, and the ingoes and lintel are reeded. Windows are located in the flanking bays.
The east elevation at the rear has not been seen since 1994. The house has 6-pane timber sash and case windows with plate glass in the lower sections. The roof is slate with a rendered gablehead stack.
The boundary walls are rendered and restyled, featuring a curved profile and ball finials on the piers.
