54 Regent Street, Portobello, Edinburgh

54 Regent Street in Portobello, Edinburgh, is an earlier 19th-century classical house with later additions. It is a single-storey building with three bays, constructed from finely droved ashlar on the front and rubble on the side elevation. The house features a base course, cornice, and blocking course.

On the southeast (principal) elevation, there is a flush-panelled door in the center with a rectangular plate glass fanlight above it, flanked by windows in the adjacent bays. To the right, there is a later addition that is slightly recessed, made of ashlar and featuring a cornice, blocking course, and coping, along with a window.

The northwest (rear) elevation is not visible. The house has 12-pane timber sash and case windows and a piended slate roof with a lean-to extension. There is an extended ashlar wallhead stack to the left, next to No 52, and a rendered stack that was formerly a wallhead on the side elevation before the extension.

The interior was not seen as of 1994. The boundary wall is rendered and features coping.
