Description

Earlier 19th century with single storey additions to rear. Mirrored pair of classical, 2-storey, 3-bay houses. Droved ashlar, polished ashlar dressings; squared and snecked rubble to side and rear elevations. Base course, broad moulded band course, eaves course, cornice and blocking course; apron to each window.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pilastered and cornices doorpieces with Edinburgh panelled doors to centre bays, plate glass rectangular fanlights and windows at 1st floor above. Windows to each floor of flanking bays.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen fully, 1994; windows to 1st floor of each bay. Maps indicate a single storey extension to centre bays at rear.

12-lying-pane timber sash and case windows; 12-pane timber sash and case windows to rear. Grey slate M-gabled roof, with ashlar coped end stacks and coped mutual stack to roof angle.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994; shutters still in place.

BOUNDARY WALLS: droved ashlar with coping; formerly with railings.
