Description

Circa 1860. 3-bay symmetrical rectangular-plan villa, with service wing. Sandstone rubble; coursed lightly stuigged ashlar with polished dressings at W (entrance) elevation. Base, dividing band, and eaves courses; rusticated quoins; architraved windows; cornice.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central pilastered corniced doorpiece with blocking course; panelled door; plate glass fanlight. Single window above; regular fenestration in remaining bays.

N ELEVATION: 8-pane sash and case window at 1st floor.

S ELEVATION: single window at ground floor; single window at 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: piend-roofed service wing ast ground floor; central round-arched stair window at 1st floor; single windows flanking to outer right.

Plate glass sash and case windows to W; 12-pane to S and E. Grey slate piended roof; lead flashing; moulded eaves guttering; shouldered rendered wallhead stacks to S and N; 2 moulded octagonal cans; small wallhead stack with heavily moulded and corniced square can.

INTERIOR: glazed tripartite vestibule door; painted stair window with coloured foliate margin panes; decorative plaster mouldings in principal rooms.

Low ashlar coped wall to street; high coped mutual boundary walls. Garage (1927) and carport (1981) to S.
