Description

Circa 1874. 2-storey 3-bay rectangular-plan villa with lower 2-storey rear service wing. Cream sandstone, ashlar front, squared and snecked stugged rubble rear and sides. Base course; architraved windows; mullions of canted window with cut-away arrises and decoratively carved stops; bracketted cills to windows in right bay; eaves cornices; channelled quoins.

Southwest (Front) Elevation: central round-arched and keystoned pilastered doorway, panelled door, semi-circular plate glass fanlight and tiled vestibule, consoled cornice with balustraded parapet serving as apron to 1st floor bipartite window. To left bay full-height canted window with half-piend roof. Bay to right with bipartite window at ground (corniced) and 1st floor.

Northeast (Rear) Elevation: lower 2-storey service wing; central wallhead of main block raised between wallhead stacks, tall round-arched stair window with stained glass.

Southeast Elevation: 3-bay; single windows to main block; shouldered wallhead stack to left, rectangular dormer to right; pedimented dormer on return of rear wing.

Northwest Elevation: mirrored SE elevation. Timber sash and case windows, plate glass glazing to front, 4-pane windows to rear and sides; slate piend and platform roof with lead flashings; 4 wallhead stacks (see above); moulded eaves gutter.

INTERIOR: timber staircase; ornate cornices to principal rooms. Tall wall with semi-circular coping to sides, low wall to front with saddleback coping, later gates and railings.
