Description

Circa 1785; subsequent alterations (see Notes). 3-storey and attic, 6-bay former pair of classical houses, mostly built out as shops at ground. Droved cream sandstone ashlar (stonecleaned) with polished dressings. 2 E bays with modern channelled ashlar at ground and broad depressed arch doorway; modern shops project to right. 1st floor windows with architrave, frieze and cornice; 2nd floor windows architraved. Eaves cornice and later mansard roof containing dormers to each bay.

Timber sash and case 12-pane windows. Ashlar coped skews; grey slates.
