Description
106 Princes Street in Edinburgh is a former house from the later 18th century that has had some later additions. It is a three-storey building with an attic and features three bays. The exterior is made of droved cream sandstone ashlar. At the ground floor, there is a modern shop front. A late 19th century timber addition extends from the first floor and includes three large canted windows with a bracketed fascia. The original second floor retains its eaves cornice and blocking course, and there are two piend-roofed tripartite dormers, with the one on the left being slightly larger. The second floor has timber sash and case plate glass windows, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The interior has been redeveloped for use as retail premises.
