Description
This is a rectangular cast-iron police call box located on Cowgate in Edinburgh, designed by E J MacRae between 1930 and 1931. The box features classical details and is painted blue. It has two-bay pilastered long elevations and single bay elevations with open pediments that contain ribboned wreath paterae. A plaque displaying the city arms is located on the door. All elevations have a saltire glazing pattern, and the structure is topped with a low-pitched roof.
