Description

This is a rectangular cast-iron police call box designed by E.J. MacRae, built between 1930 and 1931. It features classical details and is prominently located on High Street near the Tron Kirk. The box is painted blue and has two-bay pilastered long elevations, with single bay elevations that include open pediments adorned with ribboned wreath paterae. A plaque displaying the city arms is located on the door. All elevations have a saltire glazing pattern, and the structure is topped with a low-pitched roof.
