Description

Possibly 17th century. Arched gazebo with viewing platform facing northeast, built in grounds of Gilmerton Place House. Rubble with rusticated ashlar quoins and stair to platform above. Broad segmental arch with rusticated voussoirs and scroll keystone. Rubble walls beneath to grotto, ashlar freize and moulded cornice above. Dog-leg stair to left with moulded treads and ashlar handrail giving access to platform; ashlar coped parapet to rear.
