Hall, 41 Ravenscroft Street, Gilmerton, Edinburgh

This building is a small hall located at 41 Ravenscroft Street in Gilmerton, Edinburgh, dating from the late 19th century, and possibly incorporating elements from an earlier structure. It is a single-storey hall constructed of squared rubble with polished ashlar dressings. The hall features four bays, with a doorway on the outer left that has a two-leaf timber boarded door. To the left of the doorway, there are three windows that break the eaves in catslide dormers. Near the ground, there are three ventilator openings. The windows are timber sash and case style, featuring a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with red pantiles and has ashlar coped skews and skewputts, along with ashlar end stacks that have a simple cornice. At the rear of the building, there is a small addition with a piend roof, also covered in pantiles, which may have served as a kiln. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1995.
