Description

Thomas P Marwick, 1889. 4-storey, 5-bay tenement, forming part of terrace. Squared and snecked pink sandstone with polished red ashlar dressings. Base course; cill course at 2nd floor; cornice above 2nd floor; pedimented dormerheads to bipartite windows at 3rd floor; facetted pyramidal roofs with lead finials to advanced bays; roll-moulded doorways, panelled doors and plate glass fanlights; chamfered reveals. E ENTRANCE elevation: doorway with single window flanking to left in central bay; bipartite windows to each floor above. Doorway in 2nd bay; single windows above. Doorway flanked to right by single window in bay to outer right; bipartite windows above. Full-height 4-light canted windows in 1st and 4th bays; dividing cill and lintel courses; string course at 3rd floor; cornice above. Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; truncated wallhead stack; coped and rendered mutual stacks. INTERIORS: not seen 1991. Low boundary wall to street.
