Description
Dunardry is a cottage built around 1860, located beside the Dunardry locks and swing bridge, which is near the highest point above sea level on the Crinan Canal. This single-storey and attic cottage has a rectangular plan with four bays and features a single bay addition on the left, dating from the late 19th century. The exterior is finished in harled rubble, with a corniced doorway at the center and in and out quoins. The pitched roof has piended dormers and is covered with grey slate, featuring tall end stacks and clay cans, along with octagonal shaft stacks on the left and at the rear. There is also a single-storey lean-to addition on the right.
The property includes faceted stone gatepiers for both pedestrian and vehicular entrances.
