Description
The warehouses at Bellanoch date from the early to mid-19th century but may have been built between 1794 and 1809 during the construction of the Crinan Canal. The main building is a three-storey structure with a low wing to the left, constructed from rubble. The ground floor features seven alternating door and window openings, while the upper floor has three regular window bays with sash windows that have a four-pane glazing pattern. The building has large end stacks and a slate roof. The rear elevation also consists of three bays with small-paned sash windows, and there are inner windows set between the floors, likely intended to illuminate the stairway. Additionally, there is an access bridge leading to a door at the first-floor level. The single-storey wing is non-domestic, featuring a central loft gable and a wide opening on the left that is timber-lintelled.
