Description

Early 19th century with later 19th century addition to south and 20th century interior alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, former post office and store (currently operating as a coffee shop and gallery) beside the canal basin at Crinan. Harled rubble with raised margins. Steeply pitched piended roof with 4 tall, narrow, buttressed chimney stacks near each corner.

2-leaf door to centre (east elevation) facing canal and a further door at the large 2-storey lean-to addition to left. Further flat-roofed addition to far left. There is self-contained post-master/loch keeper's accommodation to the upper floor (Harbour House) accessed on the higher ground to the rear.

Multi-pane timber glazing to ground floor. Timber sash and case windows to first floor. Grey slate to piended roof and lean-to addition.

INTERIOR: seen 2013. Altered late 20th century to form coffee shop and gallery. Exposed rubble walls to ground floor areas with arched recess to rear wall.
