59 And 60 Marine Road, Port Bannatyne

59 and 60 Marine Road in Port Bannatyne is a mid-19th century, symmetrical, two-storey house with an attic, featuring three bays and forming part of a terrace. The building was raised in the later 19th century and is subdivided, with entrances at the front for No 59 and at the rear for No 60. It is constructed of harl-pointed random rubble sandstone with painted margins, a raised base course, narrow strip quoins, and tooled long and short rubble surrounds around the openings, which have flush cills.

On the northeast elevation facing Marine Road, there is a centrally located timber panelled door at ground level, topped by a tripartite fanlight. A single window is aligned above it on the first floor. There are single windows on both floors in the outer left and right bays, with three-light canted dormers above. The first-floor windows are 12-pane timber sash and case, while the outer right bay and dormers feature 6-pane upper and plate-glass lower timber sash and case windows. The remaining bays have replacement glazing. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and has raised stone skews, along with replacement rainwater goods. A corniced sandstone mutual ridge stack is located to the northwest, featuring circular cans.

The interior was not seen in 1996.
