Description

Mid 19th century; raised later 19th century. Symmetrical, 2-storey with attic, 3-bay plain classical house forming part of terrace; subdivided; entered at front (No 59) and rear (No 60). Harl-pointed random rubble sandstone; painted margins. Raised base course; narrow strip quoins; tooled long and short rubble surrounds to openings; flush cills.

NE (MARINE ROAD) ELEVATION: timber panelled door centred at ground; tripartite fanlight; single window aligned at 1st floor. Single windows at both floors in bays to outer left and right; 3-light canted dormers above.

12-pane timber sash and case windows at 1st floor; 6-pane upper, plate-glass lower timber sash and case windows at 1st floor in bay to outer right and dormers; replacement glazing in remaining bays. Graded grey slate roof; raised stone skews; replacement rainwater goods. Corniced sandstone mutual ridge stack to NW; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.
