Description

Mid 19th century. Asymmetrical, 2-storey with attic, 5-bay plain classical block forming part of terrace; subdivided; entered at front (No 63) and rear (Nos 61 and 62). Harl-pointed random rubble sandstone (some plastic repairs at ground); painted margins. Raised base course; tooled rubble sandstone quoins; tooled long and short surrounds to openings; flush cills. Pedimented pend opening to rear flats.

NE (MARINE ROAD) ELEVATION: timber panelled door at ground in penultimate bay to outer right (No 63); tripartite fanlight; single window aligned at 1st floor. Single windows at both floors in flanking bays; 3-light canted dormers above. Pedimented pend opening in bay to outer left; single window aligned at 1st floor. Single windows at both floors in penultimate bay to outer left; 3-light canted dormer above.

Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows; some 6-pane upper, plate-glass lower windows at 1st floor; uPVC window at ground in penultimate bay to outer left. Graded grey slate roof; raised stone skews; replacement rainwater goods. Corniced ridge stacks; various circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1996.
