Description

Later 19th century, post 1865. 2-storey, 2-bay villa with single storey scullery bay to outer left. Whinstone with sandstone margins and dressings, chamfered reveals; base course; quoins. Projecting eaves, exposed rafters, trefoil-ended rafters on main elevation.

S (garden) elevation: 2-bay main block with entrance on right return and single storey, half-piend block to outer left. Advanced gable to outer left, full-height canted bay with slate roof; block to right with tripartite window at ground, round-headed, gabled dormerheaded window above. 4-panelled door to right of right return, 2-pane fanlight, ashlar balustrade; window above.

N elevation: window to outer left and right; stair window at centre directly under eaves, coloured glass border.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows on main elevation, 12-pane timber sash and case windows on N elevation and gable. Grey slate roof, lead flashings; corniced, ridge stacks, square grouped cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1993.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: whinstone rubble boundary wall with semicircular coping; painted ashlar piers with pointed caps.
