Description

Mid 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay, L-plan cottage villa with lower addition in re-entrant to rear villa. Rendered with polished sandstone margins and dressings; hoodmoulds; base course; quoin strips; advanced eaves, exposed rafters.

W ELEVATION: advanced, decorative bargeboarded gable at centre; 4-panelled door at ground, 1st floor corbelled and jettied above, round-headed window, sunken rectangular panel below window; cast-iron finial. Flanking windows, hoodmoulds.

E ELEVATION: gabled jamb at rear to N, lower single storey scullery block in re-entrant angle to S.

N AND S ELEVATIONS: gabled with round-headed windows at gablehead, single storey service blocks.

4-pane plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; rendered and coped ridge stacks.

GATE AND BOUNDARY WALL: simple decorative panelled wooden gate with wooden piers. Rubble whinstone wall, rubble coping.
