Glenarran, Shore Road, Cove Andkilcreggan

Glenarran is a mid-19th century single-storey, three-bay cottage villa located on Shore Road in Cove Andkilcreggan. The building features painted harl with painted stone margins and dressings, along with an eaves band, cornice, and blocking course, and channelled quoins.

The southeast elevation presents three symmetrical bays. At the center, there is a pilastered and corniced door with a block pediment, a narrow door, and a plate glass fanlight. Flanking the door are gently-canted, corniced windows with segmental-arched lintels. The roof has two canted, gabled dormers symmetrically placed, along with a modern Velux rooflight at the center.

The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate and features lead flashings, ashlar coping to the skews, and painted coped apex stacks.

The interior was not seen in 1993.

The boundary wall consists of whinstone rubble with harl pointing and rubble coping. There are ashlar gatepiers, with the left one missing, featuring stop-chamfered arrises and a corniced, pyramidal cap.
