Description

Mid 18th century with later alterations. 3-storey and attic, 2-bay, gable-fronted tenement in irregular terrace with shop at ground. Lined render to front, rubble stone to rear, base course, cornice above ground floor, raised margins.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 3 irregular bays at ground framed by 4 cast-iron? columns with Corinthian capitals, door to right and centre with fielded panels above, shop window to left with low stall riser, plate glass, fascia panel and cornice above, 1st and 2nd symmetrical, small window in asymmetrical corniced gablehead.

N ELEVATION: adjoining 72 High Street.

S ELEVATION: adjoining 76 High Street.

W ELEVATION: irregular fenestration, later attic storey addition to left.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; prominent tall gablehead stack to E, lined render, dentil cornice and 3 cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
