Description
94 High Street in Montrose is a pair of adjoining houses built in the early 19th century. They are two storeys tall, constructed from rubble stone and harling, with plain margins.
On the south elevation, the house on the right has two bays, with a door located to the right at ground level and the bays to the left blocked. The house on the left also has two bays, featuring one blocked opening to the right at ground level and one tall window to the left on the first floor.
The east elevation shows a blank gable end, with a recent single-storey building adjoining it. The west elevation includes an adjoining building that is not part of the current listing.
The north elevation, which is located in the close of 90 High Street, has white painted harl. The house on the left has two bays with a door to the right at ground level. The house on the right has a single bay to the left, with an adjoining building to the right that is not included in the listing.
The windows are timber sash and case. The roof was not visible during the assessment. The interior was not seen in 1997.
