Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 3-bay tenement in irregular terrace with shop at ground. Lined bull-faced render to front, harled to rear, cornice above ground, plain margins.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 19th century shopfront at ground, recessed door to centre, twin-leaf doors, flanking plate glass windows, stall risers, pend entrance to left, 1st and 2nd floors symmetrically disposed, 2 piended dormers with timber-mullioned bipartites.

N ELEVATION: adjoining 150/152 High Street.

S ELEVATION: adjoining 164 High Street.

W ELEVATION: pend to right at ground, window at 1st and 2nd floors off-set to left, large dormer with timber-mullioned tripartite. No 158 High Street adjoining to left.

4-pane timber sash and case windows, plate glass to dormers. Grey slate roof; stone skews, broad brick stacks on party walls to N and S.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
